A memorial for deceased children and premature babies has been placed at the cemetery Begraafplaats Akendam. The starting point for the development was to create a unique memorial for young families with their children.
The names of the star children are placed on the perspex sheets in the colours of the rainbow.
Surrounded by a hedge under 4 old oaks, a unique and beautiful memorial site for star children has been created.
The project is also mentioned in a CNN documentary about the processing of stillborn and premature babies.
